“Conversation"2 Timothy 3:16: "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" Amos 3:3: “Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet? This week we prepare through our “conversations." What are those conversations you need to have not only sometime in 2024 but right now? And who are those needing to be in your audience? Today, and days like this, I am reminded of the importance of church and family. I am reminded that I am not an island. I need others. I am not in control. I am only here for a short time. I need to get ready. To #prepare! We are not guaranteed tomorrow and I need to have the important conversations and speak love into those I care about the most, today. As a friend, brother, husband, dad, and grandpa, there are times in my life that I have asked myself, “When I leave this earth, have I done everything in my power that I can to equip those I love for when I am gone?” Have I set a spiritual example that has given my friends, extended family members, my children, and grandchildren the foundation needed to be strong enough to endure hardships, pain, disappointments, and loss of loved ones? Will their faith be sufficient because of my influence, my guidance, and my loving conversations? Today I want to speak to you, my readers, as a believer in Christ! To the adults, I speak to you as your brother, and to the youth and children, I speak to you as if each one of you was my own son or daughter. I want you to know and to remember a few things I think our Heavenly Father would want us to hear today in our preparation. First of all, because God loves you so much, even in the darkness, be reminded you are not alone! You are not alone! God will not desert you, and He will give you strength you did not know you had! Whether we live or die, we belong to God, nothing can separate us! Romans 8:38-39: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is Christ Jesus our Lord. Be mindful my precious friends, God loves you. AGAIN, He will not desert you! Secondly, be reminded that God designed us for fellowship, to need each other and to lift each other up. What will sustain those relationships and grow those bonds is by seeking Christ first. For it is Christ who helps us endure the pain of days like this and it is Christ who delivers us the joy that is not temporary but eternal. Thirdly, my hope for you is to seek Christ daily, the only real HOPE is found in Jesus Christ! Finally, today and everyday remember the amazing child of God YOU are! Pass on God’s positive influence He has had on you, take up and live out His best qualities each day! Add some Jesus into your life and others as you prepare through vital conversations today! To God be the glory! Dads “get in the game”… Today is game day…and so is every day… God gives you! So…C’mon Men Suit Up! Dr. Jeff Springer |
